Louis U. Gasparini is the Managing Partner of SG and a trial attorney with more than two decades of experience representing municipalities, institutions, and businesses in complex, high-exposure litigation. He has been a partner at the Firm since 2008 and oversees its four offices, directing both legal strategy and firm operations. Prior to joining SG, Mr. Gasparini practiced at a prestigious, more than 100-year-old civil litigation firm based in Albany, New York. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gasparini serves as a Town Justice for the Town of Southeast, where he presides over both criminal and civil matters in one of the busiest local courts in New York State.

Mr. Gasparini focuses his practice on municipal liability, general civil litigation, wrongful death, premises liability, constitutional claims, commercial disputes, and employment law. He is particularly recognized for his work defending municipalities, schools (public and private), and organizations in litigation. His clients include colleges, private and religious institutions, nationally recognized athletic organizations, and community-based programs.  Mr. Gasparini has successfully tried both personal injury and commercial cases to verdict. He is known for his strategic, results-driven approach, meticulous preparation, and ability to position cases for favorable outcomes—whether through dispositive motion practice, negotiation, or trial. In commercial matters, he works closely with clients to develop litigation strategies aligned with broader business objectives, often resolving disputes efficiently while preserving key relationships and minimizing operational disruption.

Mr. Gasparini also maintains a robust employment law practice, advising and defending employers in matters involving discrimination, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, unfair competition, and tortious interference. He regularly litigates and enforces non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and provides proactive counsel on workplace policies, executive contracts, discipline, terminations, and compliance issues. He has represented employers before the New York State Division of Human Rights and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, bringing a practical, business-focused perspective to every matter.  In addition, Mr. Gasparini handles complex commercial litigation, including partnership disputes and business divorces, and other commercial matters.

He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Mr. Gasparini earned his J.D., from Albany Law School, where he served on the managing board of a law journal, and his undergraduate degree, where he graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Oswego.  He has received the highest peer-review rating (AV Preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected to Super Lawyers, distinctions reserved for a small percentage of attorneys nationwide. He has also been recognized by ALM, Westchester Magazine, and other leading organizations for his professional excellence.
