SG Obtains Administrative Reversal of Substantiated Finding

Prior to our office's representation, a report of neglect was made against our client to the Justice Center of New York. This report prompted an investigation by the Justice Center and resulted in a substantiated finding of neglect against our client. Our office was then retained to appeal the finding.

SG conducted an investigation into the matter, submitted a comprehensive appeal with various items of evidence, including documentary evidence and witness statements, an itemization of the client's program, and the client's staff dedication to the participant.

After receipt of our submission, and prior to proceeding to an Appellate Hearing, SG received Notice from the Justice Center that the Administrative Litigation Unit had determined that a preponderance of the evidence does not support the finding of abuse or neglect as stated in the substantiated report, and reversed its finding.
